Sonic the hedgehog
The classic blue hedgehog first appeared on Sega Genesis in 1991 and was a hit. More than 500,000,000 gamers purchased the game and thought it was such a great game, they thought it was better than the person, Sonic. Sonic was originally created as SEGA's answer to a certain red hat wearing plumber.

Sonic Cd
The speedy blue hedgehog was back again for one of his most popular games yet, Sonic CD. What made this game so popular you ask? Why simple, you could travel through time and its was the first Sonic game to have the official Metal Sonic, Sonic's most powerful rival. (At the time) go to the videos section to see the introduction to Sonic CD. In that game Eggman has his best weapon yet, the Death-Egg. (seems a little odd, it looks strangely like a death star...) Sonic CD is second in order because Tails is not with, him and Tails has appeared in every Sonic game since Sonic the hedgehog 2. (which is after this)

The classic blue hedgehog was back and better than ever with a new friend: Miles "Tails" Prower. Him and Sonic came to settle the score with Robotnik.

Sonic 3
Sonic the Hedgehog 3 is about Robotnik's ship, the Death-Egg, crash landing on Angel Island and he meets an Echidna named Knuckles who is the keeper of the Master Emerald.(Or the chaos emeralds or both) Knowing that the emerald (or emeralds) can power up his ship, he tricks Knuckles into letting him use his emerald(s) and tells him that Sonic is evil.

Sonic Advance
Sonic Advance (yes the GBA game) The reason it is here in the line is because Tails still has his Red plane, the tornado, also because Eggman uses the same ways to try and take over the world as before. Same old classic story line, Sonic has to stop Eggman from taking over the world.

Sonic Advance 2
Yes the other GBA one. (the reason it is here is because of the same reasons as above and it closely follows its prequel) In this game it is the introduction of Cream the rabbit who is searching for her mother, Vanilla the rabbit. (what a coincidence)
Eggman is also up to his tricks...again. In the end, all is well.

Sonic Adventure
In Sonic Adventure Sonic is in his first whole 3-D game. Originally on the SEGA Dreamcast. It was later released onto the Nintendo Gamecube with slightly improved graphics. In this game Eggman frees a creature called Chaos from the Master Emerald and uses him as a tool for trying to take over the world and build his Egg-utopia on the ruins on Station Square. This is also the first game that Eggman has his EggCarrier as his HQ. Tikal the Echidna acts as the hint person in this game. Sonic and his friends are not aware that this is Tikal though. Ever so often, Tikal will bring the characters to the past to show them what happened to her tribe and why Chaos is so evil. Later in the game, Tikal reveals herself to the characters and tells them what they need to do to Chaos. (who is now in perfect form) Sonic then transforms into Super Sonic to fight the beast. He succeeds and Tikal and Chaos disappear in a bright light.

Sonic Adventure 2
In Sonic Adventure 2 it is the same as above for releases. (for gamecube it was released as Sonic Adventure 2 Battle) There is much to explain in this game so I might not get all of it. This is the first game where you could choose to be on the good side and evil side. This game is also the game with Rouge's and Shadow's first appearances. In this game Eggman discovers that his Grand father, Pr. Gerald Robotnik, had created the Ultimate LifeForm 50 years ago. Eggman went and freed the Ultimate Lifeform which turned out to be Shadow. shadow then grants Eggman one wish and tells him about the Eclipse cannon that is powered by the chaos emeralds. They then go to space colony ark, where the cannon is located, and start planning to take over the planet. This is were Rouge comes in. She listens to their conversation and offers to help them get the chaos emeralds. They agree. Little do they know that she is a government spy that is trying to find out what project shadow, the ultimate lifeform, really is. Shadow gets one chaos emerald and the military mistake him for Sonic. They military trap the Blue hedgehog and lock him up in prison on well...prison island. Tails and Amy go to rescue him. Knuckles meanwhile, is arguing with rouge over the master emerald and he eventually ends up shattering it because Eggman is trying to steal it. He then realizes its going to be rough having to find the master emerald shards before rouge. Tails and Amy free sonic from the island, Sonic has a showdown with Shadow on his way out and then scrambles off the island learning that it is going to blow up. They barely escape. Eggman, Shadow and Rouge give the world an example of their power by blowing up half of the moon with 6 of the seven chaos emeralds. Sonic, Tails and Amy figure they need to stop him and get Eggmans location from the president. Knuckles then meets up with them and the go to the Ark. They create a fake chaos emerald and try and trick Eggman into taking it. He tricks them into telling him that it is a fake and shoots Sonic into space in an exploding escape pod. He just barely escapes with his life by attempting the chaos control which weakens him greatly. He then rushes off the cannons point. Knuckles fights Rouge for the last pieces of the Master Emerald and wins. She hands over the other pieces. Sonic then reaches the cannon's base and meets Shadow there. They then race each other to the end of the eclipse cannon fight on the way there. apparently Sonic wins. He blows up the cannon with the fake emerald and accidentally triggers the self destruction of the Ark. The Ark starts falling to Earth. They learn that Gerald Robotnik was vengeful for the death of Maria, his daughter, and was wanting to destroy the Earth. Both sides truce for now and race to the core of the Ark. Amy talks Shadow into helping everyone and he fights off the Biolizard while sonic and Knuckles try and stop the chaos emeralds. They succeed but the Biolizard starts to pull the Ark to Earth. Sonic and shadow go super and battle the creature. They win and use a giant chaos control to teleport the Ark back into orbit. Shadow uses too much energy and falls to his supposed death. Sonic tells everyone what happened to Shadow and they return to Earth. (This is my favorite Sonic game -Metalks)
Green Forest Theme

Sonic Heroes
There is too much to explain in this game it would probably about 4 times as long as Adventure 2's explanation so I'm going to just tell briefly about it. This game has
one new character and the return of many characters. the new character is the robot E-123 Omega. The returning characters are, Rouge, Shadow, Amy, Big, and Cream. This game also has three of the four members of Team Chaotix, Espio, Vector, and Charmy. It also has Metal sonic as the bad guy instead of Eggman. In this game Metal Sonic has a newer look but showed at the end of the game it shows that was just a transformation. there are four teams, Team Sonic, Team Dark, Team Rose, Team Chaotix. I will describe the beginning of each teams goal. Team Sonic. Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles get a letter from Eggman telling them that he has the ultimate weapon and will take over the world in three days. They rush off the find and destroy his weapon. (which turns out to be a huge fleet of ships)
Team Dark. Rouge sneaks into one of Eggman's abandoned bases and thinks she has discovered his secret treasure which turns out to be Shadow. He is locked in a cryotube in suspended animation. She releases him and accidentally turns on Omega who tries to destroy Shadow. They truce because each one has something about Eggman they want to know. Shadow lost his memory when he fell from space. (Sonic Adventure 2) Omega wants to destroy Eggman for locking him in a room. Rouge wants to find his treasure. Team Rose. They are searching for Sonic because the found of newspaper article showing that Sonic took Cream's friend chocola and Big's friend, Froggy. They go off to find them. Team Chaotix gets a mysterious job about someone thats is being held prisoner and they are hired to free their client.
